Alexander Sharpe Bridal is a professional seamstress company, that you have chose to work on the alterations for your bridal dress to ensure it fits perfectly for your special day. It is important for both parties to understand and agree to the following terms and conditions before we begin the alterations: When using our booking system you will need to confirm that you accept these terms to be able to book an appointment.
-
Weight/Body Shape: It is crucial to maintain your weight and body shape from the first fitting to the wedding day. Any significant weight gain or loss may require additional alterations at the refit, which can impact the desired fit and overall look of the dress. If our schedule permits, extra fittings can be arranged, with charges applied accordingly.
-
We reserve the right to decline alterations if a bride is 'actively losing weight at the first fitting'. In such cases, we can rebook a date nearer to the wedding to allow for more weight loss but only if we have a space in our diary - if we do not have space - we may recommend alternative seamstresses. If we do agree to move a fitting closer to a wedding date due to this we do charge a quick turnaround fee up to £150 on top of the alterations balance.
-
Please note that we are not liable for any weight fluctuations between fittings or after the dress has been collected. Additionally, please be aware that we document each fitting through photos and videos for record-keeping purposes.
-
Alterations Process: We will perform only the agreed-upon alterations to your bridal dress, as discussed during our consultation.
-
Fittings: You must attend fittings as scheduled to ensure that the alterations meet your expectations. Please be punctual for all fittings. If you are over fifteen minutes late we will need to reschedule your fitting for another day. This is due to our fitting schedule and would make our other brides appointments late, which is unfair.
-
All missed fittings are charged and not transferable. We need 48 hours notice to move a fitting. If you are unwell on the day of your fitting, please notify us by 10am so we can allocate the slot to someone else.
-
Payment: The total cost for the alterations is due on the day of the first fitting, this is so we can start altering your dress in order for your dress to be ready for the next fitting. We accept payment via Card, Cash and Bank transfer. We do not accept American Express.
-
Timeline: We will work diligently to complete the alterations within the agreed-upon timeline. Any delays due to unforeseen circumstances will be promptly communicated to you.
-
Changes to Design: Any additional design changes or alterations not originally discussed may result in extra charges. We will communicate and agree on any additional costs before proceeding.
-
Quality Assurance: While we take pride in our work and aim for the highest standards of craftsmanship, please understand that the final fit and appearance of the dress depend on the original design and fabric.
